WELCOME to MyStoriesAndPoems.com's Poetry Contests for Kids...
Dear members and members to be--
This contest theme is "Back to School after Summer Vacation"
* There are a few guidelines that must be followed in order to "qualify" for entry, however, the guidelines are simple.
* In order to "qualify" for the contest entrants must meet the following conditions:
1. Young poets must be members of MyStoriesAndPoems.com
2. Members may submit poem entries to the MyStoriesAndPoems.com blog or email entries from the Contest Prize page
3. All entrants must write poems about the Contest Theme
4. Only one entry per member is allowed
Contest Theme - "Back to School after Summer Vacation"
This means your poem must be about going back to school after summer vacation.
Contest Entry Due Date is August 31, 2010 - so get writing and submitting those poems!
ALL CONTESTANTS!! Read and follow contest rules or have someone read and explain them to you.
Not following contest rules is grounds for disqualification! MyStoriesAndPoems.com reserves the right
to disqualify any poem entry deemed to not follow the rules.

"What I Think About Poetry"
This simply means your contest poem must be about poetry and what it means to you.
Time for writing and submitting poems is Now!!
The contest entry due date is April 25, 2010.
So poets... Get writing, submitting, and posting those poems!
Remember, there are two ways to submit poems -
(1) Email poems from the contest page HERE.
(2) Post poems directly into this kids' poetry blog.
Membership numbers must accompany entries - last four numbers only when posting in this blog.
If you have not entered a MSAP contest before, get help from an adult.
And don't for get... There are other things to do at MyStoriesAndPoems.com besides entering poetry contests.
Also remember that besides being fun... poetry lessons help improve your writing for contests and for school!

Contest Theme is "St. Pattys' Day Pinches". This means your poem must be about getting pinched and pinching others on St. Patrick's Day for not wearing green clothes, shoes, or accessories.
