Peanut Butter & Jel^ly Sandwich Poem

Peanut butter and jelly
Is so good for my belly
I like to eat it everyday
At work or while at play

Peanut butter and jelly
Is not at all like deli
I can scoop it from a jar
And spread it pretty far

Peanut butter
Gold and smooth
Smear it 'cross
White bread and sooth
Your taste buds when you eat it
There's nothing that can beat it

Jelly purple
Sticky too
Sweet to lick
Right from a spoon
Sliding across your pink tongue
Let's you know your grub's begun

Peanut butter and jelly
Is so good for your belly
So you should eat it everyday
At work or while at play

Peanut butter and jelly
Make salty sweet "pean-elly"
You can scoop it from a jar
And spread it very far

Okay! Now grab two slabs of bread
Or if you like—muffins instead
Smear jelly on one slice
Booyah! That sure looks nice!

Now it's peanut butter's turn
Spread it 'cross that other bun
It looks so rich and creamy
Your hungry eyes get dreamy

Peanut butter and jelly
Is so good for our bellies
We can eat it everyday
At work or while at play

For Josh and Duke and Kelly
April, Shane, and Maya too
Jen - Let us not miss you

All right now lift the jelly bread
Slap it atop of pb's head
Then press the two together
Yell out—"No twosome's better!"

Pierce your teeth into each piece
Notice how they sink with ease
The flavors grab your tongue
Scream now —"It's so much fun!"
